We are very happy to announce that we will be running not only one but two writing retreats for mental health researchers in 2025!
New for next year is our fellowship application writing retreat, which will take place from 1-3 July 2025 in Gladstone’s Library, in North Wales. And following on from great feedback, we will also run again our retreat focused on writing up papers from recently completed fellowships from 10-12 September 2025 in Charney Manor, Oxfordshire.
“This was an opportunity for me to make progress on some really challenging work in a really healthy and focused space” Participant quote from 2024 retreat
Both writing retreats are fully-funded 2.5-day (2 night) retreats for early career researchers working on mental health related areas. The retreats are structured to create a warm, supportive and focused environment for writing, with a schedule offering structured writing time, breaks and writing tips from senior colleagues. In addition, there will be informal opportunities for feedback and discussion of your work with peers. Being open only to researchers working on mental health related projects, the retreats are also a fantastic opportunity for you to build your network within and across disciplines in mental health.
“It has been really great. I enjoyed connecting with other people, have made loads of progress on the writing up of my project, and I feel more invigorated and excited to get on with that again when I get home.” Participant quote from the 2024 writing retreat
Applications for a place on the retreats will open in January 2025. Be the first to know when applications open.
