As part of our mission, we currently run four career development programmes for mental health researchers. Each programme is tailored to the needs of the participants, providing the opportunity to network, develop skills and progress your career.

All of our programmes are fully funded, including necessary travel, accommodation and sustenance costs. We also cover relevant childcare and caring costs to enable every researcher, regardless of background, to participate.

CAREER STAGE: Postdoctoral

FORMAT: Two-night welcome residential, six online workshops and four 1-to-1 coaching sessions.

DURATION: 6 months

GROW has helped me to navigate an important transition period in my career, providing me with new skills, opportunities, and a wonderful cohort to connect and grow with. I have a much better sense of who I am as an early career researcher, where I want to be, and what I need to do to get there.

Paper Writing Retreat

Step away from the distractions of everyday life and make progress on an outstanding research paper.

CAREER STAGE: Participants working on a paper from their most recent Masters, PhD, or Postdoctoral fellowship

FORMAT: One online preparation workshop and a two-and-a-half day in-person retreat

I have gained new motivation and was inspired to approach manuscript writing from a new perspective. It was also incredibly helpful for my overall wellbeing, as I am usually working in isolation and it was so lovely to work together with everyone for a few days.
