What Works for Children’s Social Care (WWCSC) launched the Spark Grant Scheme to fund new and innovative research in children’s social care, conducted by researchers who might otherwise be underrepresented in the research community, and/or who might struggle to get funding through other routes. WWCSC encourages proposals from researchers from underrepresented, minoritised groups and/or Early Career Researchers (ECRs). Spark Grants fund a variety of new small-scale research in children’s social care through £25,000 over the duration of 12 months. WWCSC is particularly interested in applications in the area of children and young people’s mental health.
