Internships for mental health research at ARC Wessex

Internships for mental health research at ARC Wessex
no comments

The NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARC) Wessex is pleased to be offering six internships specific to mental health research. These unique opportunities are open to anyone working in or with mental health or social care services across the Wessex region, including staff from NHS Trusts, universities, local government, health, social care or community care organisations, charities and the voluntary sector.

The internship programme offers an introduction to clinical research through gaining research experience by observing/visiting/working in a research environment tailored to your learning needs. For example, for those who are early-stage researchers looking to pursue a research career, the awards may be designed to provide support to apply for a Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic and Practitioner Fellowship (PCAF), Pre-Doctoral Local Authority Fellowship (PLAF) Scheme or Doctoral Clinical and Practitioner Academic fellowship (DCAF) scheme. For those new to research the awards may offer protected time to develop an understanding of research and how to embed research into everyday practice.

Applications close on 4 June 2023.
