Judges awarded the top MHR Awards to seven researchers whose projects represent some of the most exciting new developments in mental health research today. Eight other researchers were runners up.
Awards went to early career researchers whose work is already influencing clinical practice, projects that reflect outstanding collaboration with patients and public, and to innovative studies in areas of mental health not typically well served by research.

Overall, the judges received a total of 133 nominations, far exceeding expectations, and the standard was extremely high. The four separate award categories were judged by separate panels comprising academics and patient and public members with interests in the area. Given the high standard and number of nominees, the final decisions were tough. Huge congratulations to the very well-deserved award winners.

Cathy Creswell, MHR Incubator lead, says:

I am so impressed by the standard of nominations we received for the MHR Incubator Awards. We were thrilled to get to hear about so many inspiring researchers whose work has the power to bring about lasting change in so many different ways. Congratulations!
