NIHR Undergraduate AHP Internship
Opportunity: Internship - full time eight week paid internship available between July and September 2024. There are places for two interns who will carry out separate projects, one relating to EDI in mental health research, and one on peer research and co-production.

NIHR Team Science Camp Round 2 - Applied Health and Social Care Research Methodology
Opportunity: Team Science Camp - An annual camp designed to enable researchers to collaborate across disciplines. Individuals apply and then are organised into interdisciplinary teams and coached in the principles of Team Science. These teams then apply for a Team Science Award - up to £100k per team, which would support teams to collaborate in future. The camp is funded by NIHR.
Who's it for: This year the focus is on applied health and social care research methodology, particularly methodology for diagnostic test evaluation and prediction modelling, evaluation methodology, and methodology for epidemiology.

Three NIHR Research Schools’ Mental Health Programme
Opportunity: Research Funding -The NIHR have announced that they are funding phase two of the Three NIHR Research Schools’ Mental Health Programme.
Who's it for: The commissioned call for research will focus on supporting the implementation of evidence into practice and policy in areas underrepresented in phase one, for example, suicide prevention in high-risk groups, or mental health in pregnancy.

NIHR Mental Health Research Leaders, Round 2
Opportunity: Research Funding - Funding for up to £2.5m over 5 years to support higher education institutions (HEIs) with a strategic interest in undertaking targeted and applied mental health research that will be directly beneficial for the local communities and health and care system, who currently lack the institutional capacity to do so.
Who's it for: Lead applicants should be HEI's with little/no current research capacity in mental health research based in a high need area. Experienced institutions can support an application in a mentoring capapcity.

Opportunity: Doctoral Funding - Funding to undertake a PhD in an area of research within the NIHR’s remit for personal awards. Covers your salary and research costs for three years.

Opportunity: Research Funding - NIHR Programme Grants for Applied Research (PGfAR) Competition 45 is inviting Stage 1 applications for research proposals to develop individual programmes of applied health research.
