Applications for the NIHR mentoring programme are open!

Are you interested in developing your career? Have you been funded by NIHR? Why not think about applying to be part of the NIHR’s mentoring scheme. Applications are open now.

This scheme partners late-PhD and postdoctoral NIHR Academy Members (researchers who’ve received career development awards/fellowships of various types from the NIHR) with a successful mentor in the same or similar field. The scheme allows you to widen your professional networks and gain new perspectives.

For more information about the benefits of mentoring, and how to find the right kind of mentor for you, read this helpful post written by two Early-Career mental health researchers.

Eligibility:

  • You need to be an NIHR Academy Member, be based in NIHR Infrastructure, or in an NIHR School.
  • You need to have a minimum of 6 months remaining of your funding or NIHR personal award from the close of applications to this programme
  • You must be undertaking research in England

The deadline for applications is 17 October 2024.
