We are delighted to announce the first cohort of the GROW Researcher Development Programme. Our 18 early career researchers are deliberately a very diverse group – with interests varying from perinatal to older adults; from individuals, to families and carers, to public health and service development.
Addressing intrenched inequalities in mental health has emerged as an issue that many across the cohort are passionate about.
Emily Lloyd, who leads the GROW programme says:
“I’m excited about getting started! We have a unique opportunity here to nurture the cross-disciplinary conversations that we need in mental health and I’m looking forward to supporting our participants to build their careers and make a difference.”
Given complexities inherent in mental health, and the cross-disciplinary connections needed to address many intractable issues, we hope that the cohort will be able to benefit from the network and in turn support others to follow in their footsteps.
