The NIHR is looking to appoint a registered Allied Health Professional (AHP) to support the delivery of an Allied Health Professions Research Summit commissioned by Health Education England (HEE). NIHR would aim to hold the summit in November 2022 and will pay the pro-rated amount of the individual’s salary to their employer for the duration of the secondment. This is a fantastic opportunity for AHPs who can demonstrate experience in supporting and promoting AHP practitioner/clinical- academic careers, with evidence of influencing positive change.
The focus of this work is to drive transformational change in successful research careers equitably across all AHP disciplines, with active attention to those professions that have been traditionally under-represented. The Summit will explore solutions to addressing barriers to research careers for AHPs and produce a report with recommendations and actions. The likely time commitment is ~2 days a week until March 2023.
