GROW 2026

A professional development programme for early career mental health/addiction researchers who have completed a PhD and are moving towards an independent research career. Includes a fully-funded two-night residential, four 1-to-1 coaching sessions with a professional coach, multiple networking opportunities, and a series of short monthly virtual workshops.

PeCo 2026

Coaching skills are increasingly recognised as a key leadership tool. Join the PeCo programme to learn and practise coaching approaches to apply to your own career development and in your role as a research group leader.

Fellowship Application/Grant Writing Retreat 2026

This writing retreat is for early career mental health and/or addiction researchers who are actively writing a fellowship application or developing a grant proposal, and would welcome the chance to progress on their application. Focus on your application, receive methodological feedback from a professional, and talk through your proposal with a senior academic.

Paper Writing Retreat 2026

Step away from the usual distractions at work and home and make significant progress towards your next academic publication. This writing retreat is for you if you have an outstanding or additional paper to publish from your most recent PhD or fellowship work, know which journal you want to publish in and welcome guidance and support to help you get the paper published.
