The information in your application form will be shared with the GROW Programme Review Panel, MHR Incubator team, and your professional coach, for the express purpose of managing and delivering the GROW Programme.

If your application is successful, the following information will be shared with the other participants of the 2025 GROW cohort:

  • Your name and title
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation and main area of expertise
  • Your responses to Question 1d (your current research role and institution or organisation where you are working) and Question 2a (the research questions and approaches that you are most passionate about)

 

Outside of the MHR Incubator team and panel who review your application, no other information about you will be shared. This includes your CV and your responses to the remaining application questions.

Essential criteria

  • Working in a research role in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales
  • Early career researcher in any discipline or sector
  • Have completed a PhD (or in exceptional circumstances gained equivalent research experience) so we can bring together a group of researchers at a similar career stage
  • Passionate about mental health and/or addiction research that has the potential to improve lives
  • Curious about working across disciplines and sectors
  • Interested to meet peers, form new collaborations and support each other
  • Able to commit to participating in all the programme activities including the welcome residential, face to face workshops and online sessions
  • Be ready to reflect on your professional development and identify and work towards new professional goals

 

Desirable criteria

  • We particularly welcome applications from researchers whose backgrounds, disciplines, and regions are currently under-represented in mental health research.
